Mara Lucia Lund Montano grew up in Cuernavaca, Morelos, with a Mexican mother and an American father. She attended Idyllwild Arts Academy from 2003-2005 in the Creative Writing department. She then completed a B.A. in Literature and Creative Writing at Hampshire College and an M.A. in Sequential Art at Savannah College of Art and Design. She has worked for Idyllwild Arts Academy since 2015, loving the school and believing in its mission to educate young artists!
