A Community Responds

Dear Idyllwild Arts Community,

November is traditionally a time to gather with family and give thanks. I am so grateful to be a part of the Idyllwild Arts family – one of the most supportive and generous communities you will find anywhere.

Time flies. Students have been back on campus for nearly a month. As our young artists adapt to socially distanced lessons and a cautious mix of in-person and online learning, and as our entire community adjusts to our new reality of weekly COVID-19 tests, I am thankful to everyone who has already donated to the Idyllwild Arts Response Fund. We are receiving an outpouring of support; this is a reflection of our close-knit community and our collective resolve to move forward.

We created the Response Fund to allow us to adapt quickly to unforeseen needs. This new fund, a component of our Annual Fund, provides resources we can allocate immediately as needs arise due to changes in enrollment, evolving educational landscapes, and of course the challenges posed by COVID-19.

In addition to keeping our community safe by providing weekly COVID-19 tests, personal protective equipment, and increased cleaning across campus, your gifts to the Response Fund provide additional financial aid for families in need, improved technology across campus, and so much more. Click here to see everything your gift supports. The Response Fund is making a difference to every teacher, every student, every day.

Life on campus may be different, but the passion is unwavering. We truly appreciate everyone who has contributed, ensuring our continued successful navigation of unprecedented challenges in 2020 and beyond.

With gratitude,

Palencia Turner
