Theatre: Acting & Improv for Young Performers

Improve your improvisation skills, build your confidence and delve into new acting techniques. Using theatre games and exercises, you will work on character development, discover the best audition methods for you, explore melodrama, tragedy, comedy, Shakespeare and more!

Through exercises and activities, you will meet fellow actors and discover the power of play. This workshop is the perfect enhancement to your regular school curriculum.

Dimyana Pelev Dysart is an energetic artist on stage, behind the scenes and in the classroom. Dimyana is on the theatre faculty at Idyllwild Arts and Chaffey College and serves as co-director of Stars of Tomorrow Children’s Theatre. She has studied at LAMDA, New London Theatre, and holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Redlands with an emphasis on directing and children’s theatre and an M.A. in Theatre Directing from Regent University.

Idyllwild Arts offers Auxiliary Programs and the refund policy for these workshops are as follows:
Full payment is due the day the student registers online for an Auxiliary program (unless paying by check, in which case a check should be brought to the first class.)

Withdrawal Less than 30 Days Before the Class is Scheduled to Begin: No refunds whatsoever will be made less than 30 days before a class is scheduled to begin.

Workshops canceled more than 30 days prior to the start date of the class: All fees will be refunded, with the exception of a 3% credit card processing fee on the original amount paid.
