Paul M. Maisano is a novelist, editor, and teacher of creative writing. He holds degrees from Columbia University (B.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures) and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop (M.F.A. in Fiction), where he was the recipient of a third-year McIntyre Fellowship. His first novel, Bindi, was published by Little, Brown and Company in 2018. He has been awarded scholarships and support from the Napa Valley Writers’ Conference, the New Mexico School for the Arts, and the Wall Creek Residency in Wyoming. Born and raised in the Bay Area, he has since gone on to live, work, and teach around the globe. Together with his trusty cat, Nico, he has acquired invaluable perspective while abroad, and more than a few languages, all of which informs his work as a writer and teacher of writing.
