Since 2013, Classical Classroom has been educating listeners about classical music on NPR and other venues. When host Dacia Clay and producer Todd Hulslander learned about Idyllwild Arts Academy, they knew that the Academy’s outstanding classical music program deserved recognition during the National Education Association’s Music in Our Schools Month. Ms. Clay spoke recently with current Academy Head of School Pamela Jordan, who trained as a classical vocalist as a young woman, and her predecessor as Head, current classical piano instructor Dr. Douglas Ashcraft.
