About the Library

The Max and Beatrice Krone Library supports the students, faculty and staff of the Idyllwild Arts community, promoting creativity and the pursuit of knowledge through accessible information resources, thoughtful programming, and thorough service. The Krone library fosters integrity and diversity while helping users to achieve their artistic and academic goals.

The Krone Library has over 22,000 books, DVDs, CDs, LPs, and music scores. A large portion of the collection is dedicated to the arts, but there are extensive reference and research materials as well. The Library also keeps up with current Young Adult Fiction. The Krone Library houses a computer lab, with state-of-the-art technology and a multi-media classroom, with a high definition projector and smart board. There is also a music lab that contains music composition and film scoring equipment and stations to listen to the 1,000s of LPs in the Library’s collection. The Library also contains the Krone Museum, which is dedicated to preserving the history of Idyllwild Arts and educating the community.
